Ocean liner making its usual Tuesday night trip from Hilo to Kona where passengers
get a view of the lava enroute.
Taken 9pm 11/3/09, looking over the lanai railing.
Volcanic emisions kept low to the ground by atmospheric conditions as they flow
downwind to the southwest, behind the active flow field
where various breakout points are seen glowing. Both the lava and the smoke
are originating form the right and moving to the left.
This is also in just moonlight, taken at 3AM on 11/2/09, from the back deck.
